Smokin Dragon Herbal Incense Potpourri

Well folks the Smokin’ Camel has been reincarnated as a dragon, a Smoking Dragon that is.

PACKAGING

The packaging is a small 2 inch high tube, packed tightly to the top of the lid. Logo is good, clean if a little small due to the lack of space. There is alot of info on this little bottle, yet they fit it on in reasonably sized letters. I do like these k2 spice containers, since the lid is screw-on – had several pop-cap lidded tubes that have come open in pockets etc.

FLAVOR AND AROMA

The smoking dragon herbal incense comes in 2 different strengths, and 3 different flavours; kush, strawberry and blueberry. I got to sample the kush 10xx Super and the blueberry 7x ultra. The kush was spicey, herby and very tasty. The blueberry has a very sweet fruity smell, akin to most blueberry flavoured products. I have got a local supply of the 7x ultra in all 3 flavours, so i know the strawberry is very berry-sweet smelling and tasting. The flavor is retained wonderfully in all 3 flavors, counteracting with the aroma well.
The flavors, aromas herbs, packaging is all exactly the same besides lettering. Its the effects that you notice the difference.

EFFECTS

Ok, there are two strengths of smoking dragon potpourri so i will include both here.

7x Ultra

The effects of this one are great. I currently consider this one to be my all-day brand. It makes your mind fuzzy, warm and happy whilst still allowing you to function pretty normally with smaller samples. With longer sessions, you do get a mix of fuzzy head with lack of functioning limbs, which really makes this brand quite unique in that you firstly feel the uplifting mind effects, then if you desire them you can up the body effects with the mind effects seeming to stay at a set level. The effects last 30 minutes at least for an experienced consumer, 60-120 for the amateur. The price, i get it at $13.00 for 2 grams at my local headshop, is amazing for the product.

10xx Super

This one is far more intense than its baby brother. The body effects from this one are almost instantaneous, the mind effects being slower to arrive. This one wraps you up in a warm, cosy blanket for at least 60 minutes, gradually leaving you with a warm, uplifted feeling. It starts with your arms getting heavy, your eyes can no longer stay open properly, your legs are feeling like blacksmith anvils. Then you feel a wave of euphoria, a rush of happiness and emotion. This is a very friendly high, and whilst couch-locking it is certainly very social. You find yourself talking without realising you are talking, saying some of the most interesting philosophic revelations you’ve ever had the creativity to produce. This one is very strong. Not for the amateur for sure, i loved the high this gave me for a nighttime. At $20.00 for 2 grams, it is a bit more expensive than the 7x, but it certainly packs double the punch.

PACKAGING 8/10

screw-on cap, informative labels, good use of space management gives the smoking dragon potpourri an impressive score.

FLAVOR 8/10

Whilst retaining alot of flavor from the aroma, the aromas themselves are not true to their name, being too candy-smelling. This said, candy smells are great.

AROMA 8/10

Aroma is very candy-like for the fruits, herby for the kush. Whilst i think these are all great flavours and aromas, they aren’t really what you’d get if you smushed a blueberry or a strawberry, so they get marked down for that.

EFFECTS

7x Ultra 8.9/10

The k2 spice effects of this one are great, functionable and consistant. For the price the strength is perfect, and the longevity of the high is impressive. I definitely reccomend this one if you are looking to try something new or something different, great for amateurs and experience alone.

10xx Super 9.5/10

What can i say? This is 7x ultra on steroids. If these were animals, 7x would be a panda bear, and 10xx would be a herbivorous grizzly waiting to grip you in its bear hug. The price is the only thing deterring me from giving it a 10, as it does sit nicely in with other similarly priced products (Mr Nice Guy for example)

SUMMARY

Both of these have their place amongst my collection; 10xx for a relaxing night with friends, and the 7x being my go-to for daytime relaxing. Both of these strengths are highly recommended.
